Through the lens of your camera or the magic of your filmmaking, capture the very essence of crop science, agronomy, and soil science. We encourage you to showcase your research and work from your unique perspective, allowing your artistic vision to shine brightly. Contest submissions will be accepted until October 1st, so seize this opportunity to share your talents with the world.
 
As a meeting attend you will be able to cast your votes for the photo and video contest submissions, adding an interactive element to your conference experience. 
Together, we'll create an unforgettable experience that will leave you inspired, enlightened, and ready to shape the future of agronomy and beyond.

Guidelines

  • Videos should be under 5 minutes long and include closed captioning.
  • Photos should be in high resolution.
  • Please include the participant's last name in all file names.
  • All submissions should be sent to Box file along with a completed submission form by midnight Eastern Time on October 15, 2023.
  • A signed release form is required by each person in an image or video. Submissions without release forms will not be entered into the contest. Release forms are due by midnight of October 15, 2023.

Rules and Details

  • The contest is open to members of the ASA, CSSA, and SSSA.
  • Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channels by the October 15, 2023 deadline.
  • All work and rights to the work must be owned by the person(s) entering the contest. 
  • Teams and lab groups are allowed to enter as well as individuals. 
  • Individuals can submit up to one photograph and one video. 
  • Please submit separate submission forms if entering video and photography contests. 
  • The winners will be voted on via an in-person ballot at the Annual Meeting in St. Louis on October 29th, October 30th, and October 31st. 
  • The winners will be announced at the meeting on October 31st. 
  • An overall winner will be chosen for photography and (separately) for video, there will also be winners for the society-specific categories. 
  • All decisions are final. 
  • The winners will also be notified via the email address provided. If no response is received within 5 business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize. 
  • Winners will be required to provide a W-9 to the Societies (if paying taxes in the United States) by November 30th in order to receive their prize money.
  • All photos and videos can be used by the contest organizers and the societies for promotion and coverage of the event. 
  • By entering the contest, entrants agree that the photos and videos submitted can be used by the ASA-CSSA-SSSA and contest organizers for journalistic, advertising, and promotional purposes.
  • All entries should adhere to the Societies’ code of conduct. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify entries that may be offensive to meeting attendees or others. The contest is void where prohibited by the law.
